Pregnancy is one of the most crucial stages in the life of women. No doubt, it’s also the happiest period of her life but it does not come without any risk. The joy of bearing a life in the womb probably makes most women forget the amounts of pain that they have to undergo, but immaterial of that, these pains and pinches do exist. Pregnancy makes the to-be mother particularly vulnerable to various diseases and infection as her entire body witnesses a series of drastic hormonal changes. Besides the biotic cause, there are also many abiotic things which act as regulators of the physical wellbeing of pregnant women.

One of the frequent problems faced is dizziness. The level of blood pressure and particularly sugar become low during pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting are frequent intruders. It is often recommended that pregnant women intake small packets of energy (food) at regular intervals to avoid these problems.

It is also advisable to stay away from foods, which have huge fat content, are pungent in flavor, oily in nature and spicy to the taste buds. Spicy food often leads to acidic reactions in the stomach, which can increase the intensity of nauseatic experience. Doctors also advise pregnant women to have at least 7 to 8 glasses of water daily.

The next problem on the list is morning sickness. In order to overcome this problem, one must drink lots of water and consume watery fruits. As for solid edibles, foods that are rich in carbohydrates and folic acid are generally recommended. Pregnant women also complain of having swollen ankles and feet.

This happens because your body is having too much of water than usual and in case you have been standing a lot, or the weather is hot and clumsy, the water in your body tends to get accumulated in the lower part of. So avoid standing for long, wear comfortable stocking and socks, try and keep your feet elevated at a slightly heighted arrangement above the ground so as to prevent your feet from hanging down.

You may also experience headaches at frequent intervals because of the increase in blood pressure and blood circulation. Another problem, which makes you feel quite uneasy, is back pain and cramps. In order to overcome these problems, do some light stretching exercises; keep a heating pad where the pain emerges. A good massage therapy might be a great relief during these times.

Besides the above mentioned problems, one may also have problems like vaginal discharge, deep vein thrombosis, mood fluctuations, sleeplessness, itching, piles, nose bleeding, changes in hair and skin, sleeplessness, vaginal bleeding, stretch marks, and leaking nipples.

The last problem that affects a pregnant woman’s health the most is a sudden change in the emotional conditions that her brain undergoes, like a misunderstanding with her husband, or denial of something, which she wishes to do. A sudden emotion shift sets a chain of hormonal fluctuations, a phenomenon that is more than enough to cause adverse effects to the pregnancy state.

No matter how great the inconveniences are, motherhood has been the greatest joy and perhaps a greater celebration among the fair sex. Moreover, the worth of a moment only gets multiplied with the pains that one goes through in order to receive it. Giving birth is a miracle in itself; so a few physical problems are overweighed by the magic of holding one’s own baby in one’s hands.
